Hi, you mentioned that you have an original Atari 1064 memory module. For what price are you willing to sell it? (including shipping to THE NETHERLANDS)

Hi Peter,
I´m in the Office at the moment.
When I´m back home, I´ll send you some pictures of the 1064 and will check the price for S/H to netherlands.
Best regards, André
Hello Peter,
as promised, here are some pictures of the ATARI 1064 RAM expansion.
The case is a bit yellowed due to age, but it works (see screenshot RAM test with 600XL). One side is missing the plastic hook (see photos), but the 1064 works fine without it.
Price I thought so about 28€ + shipping
Shipping to the Netherlands is: As a package (uninsured and without tracking) 8,89€ or as parcel insured with tracking 13,99€ (see screenshot attached)
Bes regards, André

Hi André,
thank you very much. That's sounds like a really reasonable price, so I would like to purchase the module.
Could you please send it to
Peter van Zijl Noordstraat 64 2411 BK Bodegraven The Netherlands
I don't think that insurance will add real value. When the package goes missing, the refund can't make up for the loss. So you can send it with the untraced postage.
Can you give me your IBAN?
Furthermore; I noticed that your screen is much clearer than what I have. It seems that we use the same cable however, standard DIN to Cinch. Or are you using S-Video?
Unfortunately I don't have S-Video on my screen, only HDMI and Start. Do you have any suggestions to improve the image quality?
best regards and thank you very much, Peter
Hello Peter,
great, thank you very much for your answer!
Then we like to do it the way you suggested.
I will send you the 1064 then tomorrow w/o insurance at your address.
Payment please to:
André Motzkus Fidor Bank IBAN: DE92700222000072540328 BIC: FDDODEMMXXX
Regarding image quality :):
This is a normal standard 600XL with a very cheap (I think 1,95€ ?) simple DIN5 to FBAS cable, no S-Video ;) .
But a really big quality leap is the use of the Sophia from Simius! I have them in another 600XL!
It replaces via FPGA the GTIA custom chip 1:1 and brings a DVI digital signal. Attached is a photo of one of my other 600XL, with build in Sophia, the picture quality, it's outstanding 8-) !
Best regards, André

Hello André,
Thanks for your quick responses. I've transferred the money to your account.
And... Wow! That quality is indeed outstanding! I will look into the Sophia!
thanks again and best regards, Peter
Hi Peter,

Have a good night!

Thanks a lot for your fast payment!
BR, André
Fast handling deserves fast payments! :-)
hi André,
the package arrived today! I installed the module and it works perfectly. Thank you very much!
best regards, Peter
Hi Peter,
thank you very much for your feedback :) !
I am very happy that everything has arrived well with you and everything works well!
I wish you much joy with it 8-) !
Best regards, André
Thank you! I was a bit surprised by how fast you run out-of-memory, so this really helped me out!
Yes, 16k is not really much :? ...
There are several programs that already require at least 320kB or 512kB.
I have upgraded several of my XL and XE ATARIs with 4MB RAM upgrades (fun fact: that was the maximum of an 16-Bit ATARI 1040 STE at that time ).
BR, André
Haha! That's really cool!
Recently I've bought a 2nd 600XL. (yes... I know... absolute beginner :-)) So now I can retain one for absolute authenticity and will try to fool around with the other for several upgrades.
The 600XL was my first love when I was 10 yrs old. And it seems that that love never dies :-)
cheers, Peter
Oh yes, I understand you very well 8-) !
I started as a teenager with a 130XE , XF 551 and a XC12. And I loved them!
But after so many years I must say that the 600 XL is a beautiful machine too! Great, timeless design and more compact than the 800XL. I love the 600XL very much.
Best regards, André
Those were the days André, those were the days... :D
Yes Peter, you are so very right 8-) !
And they were good times, I miss them...
